Dear Readers,
I am beyond thrilled to welcome you to the very first monthly issue of Island View Connect! I can not believe the 20th of July 2025 has finally arrived.
This magazine has been a dream in the making, one born from a deep love of our local community, a passion for storytelling, and a desire to celebrate the amazing people, businesses, and experiences that make the Fraser Coast such a special place to live, work, and explore.
I want Island View Connect to be more than just a online magazine, my goal is for it to be a platform created for our locals, by our locals.
Whether you're a small business owner, a community group, a creative soul, a sporting team or charity needing help reaching your fundraising goal, or a curious local wanting to know what’s happening in our regions backyard, this is a space for you. A space where we connect, discover, and grow together as a community.
Reaching this milestone wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible support and encouragement I’ve received along the way.
To the small business owners who believed in this idea, our contributors who have joined in along the way, to the readers who subscribed before the first page was put together, and to my friends and family who stood beside me cheering every step of the journey, THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for all the strength and encouragement you have shared with me, helping me make it to this point.
This issue is just the beginning.
Each month, I hope Island View Connect grows to becomes a source of inspiration and connection, something you look forward to reading with a cuppa in hand.
