As we settle into the rhythm of the year, February feels like a month of momentum, a time where ideas start turning into action and plans begin to take shape. It’s also a beautiful reminder of why this magazine exists in the first place: to celebrate the incredible people, small businesses, and stories that make our region what it is.
Lately, my mind has been wandering as this magazine approaches its first year of publication. It’s hard to believe how quickly the time has gone by and how much has grown from what started as a simple idea. Watching Island View Connect evolve has been both humbling and incredibly rewarding.
Every edition of Island View Connect is built on community. From the business owners who open their doors and share their journeys, to the readers who support, recommend, and champion local, this magazine is, and always will be, about connection.
I also want to extend a sincere thank you to our wonderful writers who help bring this magazine to life. Your time, creativity, and passion for sharing local stories are what truly make this a community magazine, and I’m so grateful for the heart you pour into every edition.
